HELiPRO is one of New Zealand’s largest and most successful commercial and flight school operators. Recently HELiPRO added a second fixed wing training subsidiary, Bay Flight Aviation Training, to its already extensive aviation training facilities including, NZ Flight Training.
Although Top flight training schools in New Zealand are in many ways similar, in that we all operate the same or very similar aircraft and here in New Zealand we train to the very highest of international standards to meet the requirements of the NZCAA, HELiPRO’s infrastructure and facilities are more advanced than most other flying schools. We operate the second largest fleet of aircraft in New Zealand, second only to Air New Zealand. Our fleet is made up of approximately 40 helicopters and 23 fixed wing aircraft. This exposes our students to many opportunities in terms of both experience and type ratings. We also have 1 fully approved synthetic 172 SP flight simulator based in Paraparaumu and 1 Red Bird full motion simulator based in Tauranga. We train both New Zealand and International students and our instructors are experienced, dedicated and friendly.
New Zealand is a great place for international students to live and study, it is safe, the roads are excellent, crime rates are low and the people are friendly. In regards to the skies, NZ has modern air traffic systems and the skies are relatively uncongested. Furthermore, our native language is English, the international language of aviation: you will improve your English language skills while you are here and the better your understanding and ability to use English, the safer you will be as a pilot.
The New Zealand Commercial Pilot Licence is highly regarded internationally. NZ flight training standards are also regarded as excellent. Our fixed wing graduates enjoy great success, they have a high employment rate in the industry and progress well through the ranks, whether they are instructing or moving into the airlines. There is currently an international pilot shortage so job prospects for pilots have never been better.
For further fixed wing flight training information check out http://nzflighttraining.com/ and http://www.bayflight.co.nz/ . Both these bases are situated on beautiful North Island coastlines, with stunning scenery being replaced by rugged mountainous terrain within a short flight time, both ideally suited to flight training.
Once again, our experienced staff are proud to deliver high quality, student flight instruction, preparing students for the demands of a successful career in aviation – Make your dreams realities!!
