HELiPRO Aviation Training has a team of experienced pilots who operate our diverse fleet in the commercial sector. These company pilots can also carry out Type Ratings in the following helicopters:
Night Rating
A Night Rating entitles the helicopter licence holder to fly within 25 nautical miles of a lighted aerodrome or heliport at night.
Firstly 2 hours of simulated instrument training must be completed. The next step is to carry out 10 hours of night instructional training with an appropriately qualified instructor.
Sling Rating
This entitles the pilot to carry external loads suspended from the cargo hook of a helicopter. The training syllabus is made up of 10 hours of training, of which seven hours are dual instruction.
Turbine Rating
HELiPRO operate five single engine turbine and six twin engine turbine powered helicopters. Turbine Ratings are available in each of these, with the first turbine rating usually carried out in the Bell 206 or Hughes 500. You must complete a minimum of five hours training for your first single engine turbine rating.
