The recent addition of the new maintenance hanger at the Palmerston North Base has given us the ability to further expand our New Zealand flying school operations at Palmerston North Airport. With a fleet of three C152 fixed wing and further R22 and H300 Helicopters, activity is increasing daily with an exciting and vibrant instructional staff and great local training areas.

Student Loan funded programmes are available for helicopter pilot training students only at our main training bases in Christchurch and Palmerston North. We also offer self funded helicopter flight training at our satellite training bases in Taupo and Nelson. Fixed wing flight training only is offered at our Paraparaumu base, both through student loan funding and self funded training.

through Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology
Learn to fly with NMIT's School of Aviation, the country's largest pilot training provider network for Commercial Pilot Training and Helicopter Pilot Training.
When you have been selected for aviation training by HELiPRO, your preferred provider, NMIT will enrol pilot students on the selected qualification to access government loans and allowances.
